Full-time Assistant Behavioral Intervention Specialist sought for Family Services Department. This in-home program serves families who have children/adults living with them who have been diagnosed with developmental disabilties and who are displaying problematic behaviors.
Job responsibilities include: assessment of problematic behavior, administration of behavioral curriculum to family members and assisting them in creating a behavioral plan to target maladaptive behaviors. Assistant Behavioral Intervention Specialist is also responsible for writing behavioral presentations and presenting material to interdisciplinary team.
BA/BS in Psychology or related field required, Master's degree preferred
Experience working with ID/DD population strongly preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills a must
Location: Brooklyn and Queens
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday with flexibility required
